The food was 100/10 it was so good. The ambiance was nice, staff is nice and accommodating. And it's BYOB .

Negril is a diamond in the rough. It's been quite sometime since I've dined here. The ambience - intimate, The food - Good and the service is GREAT! If my date and I were drinkers. We weren't able to purchase alcohol, there was an issue with their liquor license. Which don't take away from a great date night!

Went for a girls night the restaurant is beautiful && the food is good it's byob but they have mocktails so you can make mixed drinks if you'd like. the server was very nice and attentive I wouldn't mind returning

Hey y'all. Ok so I wish I could give a half star because I would surely give this experience a 3.5 stars, and here's why. Now upon entry the host was incredibly nice. Once half of my party arrive we were sat down and the host gave us menus. Now let me go back, we originally selected this menu because they are participating in NYC Restaurant Week. So we were expecting the dinner menu would be $60. Once the server came over, a middle aged man from Jamaica (that's important, just wait for it) I quickly noticed we didn't have the Restaurant Week menu. So I asked for the RW menu. Y'all this man went off on me in patois. Little did he know I'm from Brooklyn (the real Brooklyn) and understood every word he said. He attempted to tell me that the RW week menu wasn't available on Fridays. So I whipped out my phone and said "where does that say that on the nyc website. He said he didn't know nothing about that but he wasn't giving us that menu. So I asked for the Manager. He said the Manager/GM already told them this. I said Sir just get me the manager please. He said she's right there (pointing to the Hostess). He walked away, said something to her and kept walking. He finally came back and asked if we wanted water. I said no, I'd like to speak to the Manager, she never came over. He hightailed it over to her. She came over and promptly gave us the RW menu. That's when we saw the dinner was actually $45 for the appetizer, entree and dessert. Now!!!!! This was more like it. The hostess stated there was a misunderstanding and she apologized. Once that was settled, we began our dinner experience. The restaurant is BYOB which I loved. Drinks can be so overpriced. So the waiter gave us ice for our bottles of champagne we brought, he opened my other friend's bottles and he was very pleasant at this point. I had the codfish fritters w/guacamole (the menu said avocado lol) for my appetizer and they were delicious. It was 4 fritters. I was impressed. For my entree I had the jerk chicken and that was really jerk IYKYK. For dessert I had the bread pudding and baaaaaaaby that bread pudding was AH MAZING!!!! All in all once we got that whole Restaurant week thing fixed we had a very enjoyable experience. The server even gave my friends an extra serving of rice and peas because she was taking her food that she didn't eat to go. I would t go back to this location. I'll try the one in Brooklyn

I have to admit that I love this place. Years ago I used to go to the old one on 23rd, as it was close to my gym at the time. But this location has such a nice vibe. Very chilled with a touch of sophistication. Added to that is the fact that the food is delicious! On this occasion we had an order of curried goat roti, and another order of curried lobster, shrimp, salmon, and grits. Both dishes were delicious. Perfectly prepared. Added to that the wonderful and attentive service provided by Christina, and it was a wonderful dinner date night. If you've not been, then I encourage you to go. Have some great food, enjoy the environment, and just feel alright...

Since I got back from Vietnam I have been on a Jamaican/Caribbean food kick, so when my big bro demanded I meet him at Negril for our weekly lil bro/big bro check in, I happily obliged. We walked in at 7:08pm to a damn near empty restaurant. We were a little shocked, as any place in nyc this empty at 7pm on a Friday seems like a red flag. Negril has a high class Jamaican ambiance, which seems like a contradiction in itself, but I was all for it. My big bro, on the other hand, became concerned. He began to look at pictures on Yelp and thought the portion sizes looked too small for him. After deliberating on whether to stay or leave, I was like "dude let's just try it-it can't hurt to try..." I realized I had never stood up to big bro like this and took a major risk by stating a personal opinion. But he responded with a nonchalant "Okay, I'm down." Did I just big bro my big bro? We got the Jerk Wings, Oxtail Empanadas, Plantains, Curried Goat, and the Jerk Chicken. I was absolutely blown away by the food. The spices and the flavors were all on point, everything was hittin with my favorite being the Jerk Wings and Curried Goat. After we ate, a photographer came around taking HIGH quality pictures of customers. I was a little confused at first, but the motive became clear when they got to our table. They took a couple pictures of me and my big bro, then about 5 minutes later came back with framed pictures that cost $20 a piece. $20 is wild... but at the same time I can't knock the hustle. If I was a few drinks in while eating with my girl, they forsure would have got my ass. Echoing other reviews, the ONLY reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because of the 20% gratuity baked in. I just think that this completely misaligns incentives for good service. By the end of our meal, the place was PACKED which was external validation that we had made a great decision. External validation, while dangerous, is nice sometimes. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews
